About Grief Support

Dr. Rachel Bart offers pet grief support sessions to all pet owners that recently lost a pet. Dr. Rachel’s support sessions provide a safe place to grieve and mourn the loss of your pet. Dr. Rachel understands the pain you are feeling and will serve as your support system and guide you along the grief journey.

The initial session lasts 50 minutes and will include reading material and a pet loss journal. Subsequent sessions can be tailored with respect to length and frequency.

In-home or phone consultations are available.

Certified in Pet Loss and Pet Grief Support

Dr Rachel Bart graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BSc in chemistry in 1991 . She then completed her veterinary degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998.

She spent her first 10 years of practice in emergency and critical care and has been in regular practice since 2008. Helping owners navigate being able to say goodbye to a beloved pet in a calm and comfortable setting has become very important to Dr.Bart. It is an extremely difficult time for owners and being able to stay at home is a gift that can be very helpful for both the owner and the pets .
